Hi, I’m Brad, a social worker and therapist with over a decade of practice experience working within the field of community services alongside individuals and families. My professional background includes years in frontline child protection, family support, mental health, and now in private practice.
In addition to bringing this wealth of practice wisdom and experience, I also have a personal lived experience of healing from trauma, and it’s within this framework that I deeply understand the challenges that my clients face.
I continue to support people navigating life’s toughest moments with empathy, compassionate care, and a trauma-informed lens that recognizes how the past often continues to impact the present. Together, I collaborate with my clients from the outset of our work together to tailor treatment plans to suit the person/ and or couple as being the experts in their own lives.
Core focused areas of my practice include my work with individuals and couples, who are healing from complex trauma and or experiencing relationship and emotional distress, bereavement, and those navigating life transitions. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, with a strong commitment and focus towards empowering clients to overcome the challenges that impact on daily life.
My practice framework includes a range of modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Somatic Psychotherapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens in safe, connected relationships, and that starts with the therapeutic space.
Clients I commonly support include neurodivergent individuals, people navigating complex trauma, men experiencing relational challenges, LGBTIQA+ community, and couples wanting to strengthen their connection and or navigating relational difficulties.
I’m a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker registered with the AASW, which allows me to offer Medicare rebates and reduced-fee options. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and have completed advanced training in Complex Trauma, IFS, Suicide Prevention, Polyvagal theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (individuals and couples), Somatic Psychotherapy, and more.
If you’re curious about working together or just want to know more about fees and availability, feel free to reach out. I offer free phone consultations to learn more, which helps you get a sense if I am the right fit for you.
